Allright. Here's a comment from Iranian-American that we'd like to make a separate post. Very sincere y'know.
As an Iranian-American who was old enough to remember the 1980s in Iran as a kid, I think an Iran with nuclear weapons is a scary one, it's like giving a loaded gun to a kid. Iran has much more urgent issues to deal with than nuclear weapons, just look at unemployment rate, inflation, corruption and brain drain just to name a few. Also, the Iranian government is very scary, they want you to think that it's a democracy but it's really not, they do not represent but 5% percent of the population and their supporters on TV that most westerners see are victims of a propaganda war. Most of those folks are government employees whose jobs and livelihood depends on their attendance to these propaganda rallies. It's really a shame that these religeous, hard headed, stubborn right wingers have kidnapped Iran and have given us all a bad reputation around the world. Just read some of the posts on this website, there is so much hatred of Iranians that it really hurts. Actually calling for a country with 70 million people to be attacked by nuclear bombs is unbelievable to me! I never realized people can have so much hatred for others they have never met before considering that most Iranians are very educated, secular, peaceful and loving people that don't really care about the Middle Eastern politics and do not in any way identify with the Iranian government. THE IRANIAN GOVERNMENT IS NOT DEMOCRATIC AND DOES NOT REPRESENT THE PEOPLE. It's like hating all Cubans because of what Castro says. 95% of all Iranians hate their government, they're just too afraid to speak up as they kill you if you say anything against the government. Bottom line is that people are just people everywhere, some good, some bad, you should not hate anyone you don't know. I hope for a day that we can all love and respect one another and live in harmony. There are no winners in a nuclear conflict, it's very self-destructing to human kind which is the point lost in most of these discussions.

Your posting is moving and while there is a great deal of hatred towards Iran and the Iranians... I personally have a great deal of it, its important that you and others from Iran get off of your collective rears and do something...
In 1979 Iran's had what they called their "Revolution" From America, your revolution would've been assisted and understood by us if you hadn't of kidnapped and continually interrogated our people for over a year. If it wasn't for the great Ronald "Raygun" Reagan coming into office, showing pure might and will to destroy your nation if you didn't free our hostages, things would be a lot worse for your country today.
If you want us to sympathize and even help you, your people and your nation and stave off an all our thermonuclear annihilation, then I suggest you begin to work hard and passionately and creating the next great Iran Revolution - the complete and total overthrow of your theological dictatorship, toss out the Mullah's and their thousand year old view of the world, get rid of their cadre of handlers and strongmen and open up your country to the world, help us help you by helping yourselves...
I gotta tell you, those carrier groups off your shores aren't there just for a show of force, Bush and Putin are having some very serious discussion behind closed doors and the days of coddling Iran and doing this political dance are coming to a quick end.
The world is not going to wait for 3 more years for Iran to accumulate enough nuclear fission materials for a nuclear bomb or a dirty bomb, there will be a coordinated first strike by the US, Russia and China against Iran, stop fooling yourselves if you think you'll get the upper hand, Iran doesn't make enough oil to be that much of an issue if it is turned into a smodering wasteland that will make images of Hiroshima look like a small forest fire.
Help yourselves, work passionately about destroying your own government as you do about destroying Isreal and you can turn your country around in a matter of months and make Iran a free, open and accepted country as it was in the 70s
If it was that easy, don't you think it would have been done by now? Look at N. Korea and Cuba, how long have those people been oppressed?
If you say or do anything against the government, they take your rear end to this prison called "Evin" (Iranian version of Alcatraz) and you won't ever make it out of there, your family won't even know what happened to you. Look it up on Google. What you're saying sounds great but is not the reality, they got guns and they are brutal. There is no human rights!
Also, the whole thing about wanting to destroy Israel is the government's wish not the people's. Iran has a good size Jewish population, they're oppressed but are still there. These jackass mullahs especially Ahmadi jackass has a thing for Israel because they care more about the Arabs than their own people. It's the second invasion of Iran by Arabs by the way of these backwards mofos with guns.
Hate the Iranian government, not the people, if you get to know some of them, you'll actually grow to like them, they're warm people and will suprise you. I really do hope that this government falls soon and Iran can become prosperious as it once was.

maybe its time for your people to stop using IED's (Improvised Explosive Devices) in Iraq, start to find out timetables and information about key people in the oppressive Iranian Government.
Coordinate a country wide day of blowing all of them up and decapitate the head off of the Mullah's and their handlers in one shot.
At the same time prepare to take conrol of your television, radio and internet access sites with prepared statements requesting immediate assistance from the US, Russia, China and others to help with a large peacekeeping force to come in to remove any remnants of the government.
Don't be underprepared as we were in the US, we thought that the Iraq's were going to be like the Kuwaits, jump for joy and work with us to stabilize the control, we didn't plan for all of the Al Qaeda and insurgency crap that has occured.
You'll need to prepare as well, prepare a set of temporary leaders to immediately step in and take control. Do not disband the military but have the military serve the temporary government. Make sure to immediately secure your weapons and nuclear facilities to keep insurgents from trying to take control of them.
You have a lot of work to do, but if you really want to make the big change that your people desire, you need to work together and work country wide and work fast and make this change happen, as I mentioned, you have maybe 2-3 years left before the path your government is taking you on ends in a very bad way.

I have to confess that i didn't expect you to submit the last post , i can not argue or comment like my other friends in top but they said what i wanted to say , i just wanted to add that it is really sad , imagine you don't have a "Home" as far as it has been captured by not-Iranian people and as the characteristic of Iranian we cant be brutal like my government they can kill easily in the name of islam but Iranian-people can not do such a thing in the name of anything :( man you have no idea whats going on in Iran , you don't have any idea how this government looks like and i wish never such thing happens for any nation .

Cyrus – First off, let me apologize for my behavior. As a religious Christian I know it is wrong of me to call names and I want to say I’m sorry. You make some interesting points.
My faith makes me protect Israel. It worries me how Iran repeatedly threatens to wipe Israel off the map. I’m sorry, but despite what you say, I can’t believe that your countrymen would want to live in peaceful co-existence with Israel after all the years of propaganda coming out of the government. (Turkey is an example of a law-abiding Muslim country that has a very good relationship with Israel). There was recently a poll that most Iranians are in favor of keeping their nuclear program. Does any intelligent person question the true purpose of these reactors?
Also, as a military man, it sickens me to know that Iran is behind most of the US Soldier deaths. It’s a well known fact that Iran is providing the IED’s and other advanced technology that end up killing my uniformed brothers and sisters.
My main concern is the following scenario: That nutjob dictator gets his instructions directly from Allah. He will acquire the nuclear weapons, he will use them. Israel and the US counter-attack with a massive strike. Many thousands dead. This is the beginning of WWIII. Lets hope a regime change occurs quickly, for the sake of the hundreds of thousands of lives that could be lost due to this madman.

2)seeing is believing.so i suggest that you travel to Turkey and see for yourself how people feel about israel and USA.not good i assure you.people have little say about their relationship with USA/israel.it is the Armed forces of turkey who rightfuly and admirably keep turkey a secular country aligned with USA/israel.same goes with other Muslim countries only 100 times worse than turkey with one very significant exception IRAN.

5)All iranians are in favour of iran rights to have nuclear energy/Tecnology including myself.would the regime use it for illegal activities?may be to produce a few Atom bombs for a rainy day but it is not likely when the world and IAEA are watching.this is why the world needs to make them sign a binding additional NPT agreement.

Let me give you my personal perspective on a potential conflict with Iran –
Most of this conflict, at least in the beginning, will be fought with a brutal Aerial assault.
Day 1 will lead to the complete destruction of Iran’s air force, infrastructure, communications, and chain of command will be targeted. Nutjob will be targeted and killed when found. Thousands of deaths on Iran’s side. We’re not going to fight Iran the same way that we’re in Iraq. The air assault will be nothing like the world has ever seen. Brutal, deadly, fast, overwhelming. We’re well aware of Iran’s military capabilities and provisions have been put in place to limit what they can accomplish.
On your point about supporting Iran’s right to nuclear power – Sorry, no way. An unstable regime has NO right whatsoever to possess this technology. In my opinion, Bush must take whatever steps are necessary to prevent this from happening. Does Iran have the ability to produce a delivery mechanism (ie missle warheads) probably not, but they could quite easily make dirty bombs under this program, and get them into the united states or our other strategic interests.
What do you think will happen once the Iranian leadership is destroyed? Who will lead the government? Will Iran become a secular state? Will the people thank us for liberating them or will they attack us?

I do not know if you ever been in a war or close to it or even talked to some one who had.it seems that you have no idea what war means or does!!!.war has never been and never will be the answer to any problem period.Hitlers and Napolens of history can testify to that. most of the times any body who starts the war ends up losing it.Ask Talibans,saddam,Hitler,Napoleon...
1)Death in war even if it is your enemy is the most painful,hurting and horrible experience you can see in life.those who ever been in a war never want to see it again period unless they gone really mad.
2)Iran already has the nuclear Technology and under NPT has the right to use it.smuggling dirty bomb to USA or anywhere else is just PURE BULLSHIT.read my preivious post again.why a bunch of thieves who do anything for power and money ever endanger their positons?in the last 28 years they have been really compromising when their interests calls for it.
3)Let us be realistic OK?you can not even find Osama after 6 years.or neutralise ALQUADA leadership.how can you expect to destroy the entire iranian leadership who has 100s of Billion$and a very important country and its entire resouces at their finger tips?last summer the IDF used its mightiest units and most advanced weaponary and they could not touch Hezbollah leadership.needless to say that they suffered a humiliating defeat and high number of casualities from a rag tag iranian proxy.
4)iranians would not welcome any invaders no matter what.in order to topple iranian regime by force, USA needs a million ARMY on the ground,arerial bombing would not do.just feeding this army for a year in a vast country like iran which is 3.5 times bigger than iraq with 70 million people(3 Times iraq) would Bankrupt your country.forget about other costs,casulties,insurgencies,...and this is after the conquest of iran which very likely cost you over 2 TRILLION$ and 20,000 dead and 100,000 wounded.
5)price of oil goes to 300$ easily after attack against iran.which put the entire world in deep DEPRESSION for a decade or so.how would you like the 8$ a Gallon gasoline?nor any body else in the world.not even Arabs would like it
6)iranians would not like to see any body bombing their country just like Americans would not like anybody bomb USA no matter how much they hate their own leaders(Bush/Clinton).
7)if there was a 25% chance that any military attacks would succeed against iran to topple the regime Pentagon would have done it.According to many sources All TOP RANKING GENERALS of USA ARMED FORCES are against any military actions in iran.
8)FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY are not commodities that you can Export to countries who do not have it.it takes time for any socitey to develop it domstically.it is rooted in capitalisam and Market Economy which eventually leads to blooming of those values.Turkey and Iran are closest to that but still need more Time may be 5-10 years.other muslim countries are 50+ years away.have no doubt that America will triumph against her enemies.mullahas regime would collapse so will North korea and china and other dictatorships around the world.this is the centuray of freedom.have faith in Goodness and humanity.
